East West Rail Alliance reinvest in CLOCS

1 Aug 2020

CLOCS recently featured in the East West Rail Alliance's 'Focus' newsletter, where EWR showcased their commitment to being a CLOCS Champion. Snippet below:

CLOCS Champions

The Alliance has renewed its CLOCS Champion membership, demonstrating our continued commitment safer construction journeys.

CLOCS is a national standard requiring its members to ensure the correct behaviours are in place to promote road safety across the construction industry. As a CLOCS champion, the Alliance adheres to CLOCS standards when planning and undertaking journeys and engages with the supply chain and subcontractors to ensure standards are adhered to and to enhance road safety for all road users in the communities where we operate.

To provide evidence that the Alliance is adhering to the CLOCS standard, we have committed to:

  • At least 20% of our sites and/or fleet operating centres being formally reviewed by CLOCS assessors
  • Producing a clear plan to get the majority of our sites and/or fleet operating centres to be CLOCS compliant within two years
  • Producing a clear plan to encourage other organisations to adopt the CLOCS Standard

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the Alliance's first year as a champion and that the efforts continue as we progress on the project.
